Have you ever discovered an incredible place, being or experience that changes your life forever?
At first Debbie was afraid to even put her face in the water, but like so many she desired to swim with dolphins. The deep down yearning initially did not have an explanation, but intuitively she knew an emotional psychological, or physical need for re-balancing her body and mind would manifest.
Debbie experienced trauma from incest. According to 2024 stats by the Rape Crisis organization in England 1 in 4
women have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16; 1 in 6 children are sexually abused; and 1 in 18
men have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16 that often manifests post-trauma in addiction, relationship problems, physical dis-ease and a poor quality of life with little positivity and no purpose.
The experience of interacting with these intelligent and playful creatures can trigger the release of endorphins, the body’s natural “feel-good” hormones, which help elevate mood and reduce stress. This surge of positive emotions can create a theta brain wave memory state that enables dolphin-swimmers to capture troublesome memories, and then re-write them in an alpha state of relaxation that follows.
