Laura – Single parent of 5 children – 26/07/2024
Working with Mandy has been so great, she has helped me understand so much and is teaching me how to better listen and understand my children’s emotions as well as my own, her calming techniques have been very useful for myself as I lead a very stressful life with a lot of challenges.
Her teaching of active listening has changed my mind set on how to better communicate with everyone in my life especially my children.
Mandy is very calming and understanding.
I would highly recommend Mandy for anyone seeking therapy.
Grace – 29y old Event Organizer seeking to know herself better – 22/-4/2024
I initially searched online to just dip my toe in and see if there were any therapists I could see myself getting along with and being able to open up to. I was extremely nervous and wasn’t quite sure if I was ready to take the leap until I had a consultation with Mandy, she was extremely easy to speak with on the initial phone call and instantly put me at ease, we agreed on starting with three sessions and see how I felt from there and now we have a regular weekly session.
Mandy’s kind, calm and caring approach has made our space/conversations feel comfortable and safe even when opening up about area’s that I wouldn’t ordinarily feel comfortable talking about. She has been extremely reliable and offers consistency (which is exactly what I need). I enjoy my sessions with Mandy and come away each time having gained new perspective or learnt something.
I could not recommend Hurt2Hope enough, I am so pleased to have connected with her!

I decided to work with Mandy after meeting her to discuss “Awaken the wild within”, Mandy’s Nature Therapy initiative where she takes people into wilderness places to gain personal and professional insights as they observe wild animals with social behavior, swim with free, ocean-moving dolphins or learn from the wisdom of tribal people.
I shared that I was going through a big life change – we decided to move back to South Africa after 18 years in the UK – and I realized that I needed someone to help me navigate this change. There were some aspects of my past interfering with my work and family life that I wanted to resolve. I believe that my own mental health and emotional well-being is non-negotiable when it comes to navigating work and personal relationships. I felt instantly that Mandy was the right person to support me.
We’ve been working together twice a week for three months (since Oct 2022).
Mandy has helped me so much to put things into perspective that I am still seeing her once a week. Her depth of knowledge, skills and experience is exceptional. The many times she’s helped me see an aspect of myself that was hidden to me in the moment has been a game-changer.
I cannot recommend Mandy as your therapist highly enough – I value her psychotherapy and counselling skills; and her in-depth knowledge of wildlife. The examples used from nature have resonated with me a lot – truly inspirational! Mandy is truly inspirational.
